This recording of these “hits” of Baroque music aims above all to remind us that early music is not exclusively confined to the use of “ancient” instruments. Under the direction of Vincent Bernhardt, the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra (Lithuania) plays on metal strings and “modern” instruments. The blend with baroque wind instruments results in a varied but coherent musical discourse, underpinned by a reflection on questions of phrasing and articulation and driven by the idea that everyone can confront Bach whatever their instrument.

Christophe Steyne, Crescendo Magazine, 18/05/2023

“Overall, this is a successful recording which, thanks to the playful freshness of its quasi-live character, presents a high degree of spontaneity and vivacity.”

Michael Wersin, Rondo Magazin 22/04/2023

His interpretation exudes a certain coziness that offers other perspectives after the contrasting, striking and fast performances of baroque works that have often become the rule.

Remy Franck, Pizzicato, 31/03/2023

“One listens to the whole thing with relish.”

Thierry Vagne, Musique classique & Co., 12/06/2023
