These four musical settings of verses 25 and 26 of Psalm 73 take us into the mysteries and poetry of 17th-century German spirituality. In addition to these vocal pieces by Buxtehude, Pohle and Rosenmüller, Vincent Bernhardt offers here a recording of Andreas Kneller’s organ works on the organ built in Bouzonville by Marc Garnier in 1979, which is recorded for the first time.

“The organ pieces play with the variety and uniqueness of the timbres with their tasteful and distinguished harmony, which Vincent Bernhardt chooses and mixes with science and taste. […] Kneller’s partita on “Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland” is a real treat from start to finish. We mustn’t deny ourselves the pleasure!”

Paul de Louit, Diapason Magazine n° 731, March 2024

“Vincent Bernhardt offers us a lively interpretation of this repertoire, served by subtle phrasing and a remarkable sense of articulation. […] In this perfectly constructed program, everything sings and breathes in unison: the soprano, the violins and the organ. What lace!”
